Aurora Expeditions Greg Mortimer
Overview
The Greg Mortimer, Aurora Expeditions’ flagship vessel, was the first passenger ship to use the Ulstein X-BOW® design, dramatically improving stability and fuel efficiency in polar waters. Named after Aurora’s co-founder and renowned mountaineer, the ship is engineered for serious adventure with a strong environmental conscience.
Carrying just 132 guests, it offers a highly personalised expedition experience, with more time off the ship and smaller landing groups. Every cabin features an ocean view and an ensuite, and most include private balconies. Purpose-built mudrooms, hydraulic viewing platforms, and custom loading bays streamline Zodiac operations for faster, safer excursions.
Guests can join activities ranging from mountaineering and scuba diving to ski touring and snowshoeing – backed by world-class guides and safety standards. The Greg Mortimer is ideal for travellers who value innovation, efficiency, and expert-led exploration in the most remote corners of the Antarctic Peninsula.
