Cambodia Temples, the Mekong and Beyond

Phnom Penh Temples | Cambodia | Swift Travel

Angkor Highlights, Colonial Battambang & Saigon by River

10 Night / 11 Day Itinerary

Trace the course of history and river life on this immersive journey from the temples of Angkor to the Mekong Delta and Saigon. Begin in Siem Reap with carefully timed private touring of Angkor’s forest temples, sunrise at Angkor Wat and a rural evening at a countryside villa. Continue overland to Battambang, a slow-paced town of fading colonial architecture, village life and rice paddies, before travelling on to Phnom Penh for atmospheric street-food evenings and architectural “hidden gems”.

From Phnom Penh, step aboard The Jahan for a four-day Mekong cruise into Vietnam. Drift past river islands and orchards, visit family homes and workshops, and watch the river landscape shift from quiet Cambodian banks to the busy delta channels of southern Vietnam. Guided excursions balance cultural insight with unhurried time on deck, allowing you to soak up the rhythm of the river.

Throughout, you’ll stay in characterful hotels and a stylish river cruiser chosen for comfort, location and sense of place. With expert guiding in Angkor, Battambang and Phnom Penh, and a seamless transition onto the Mekong, this itinerary offers a connected route through temples, countryside, riverside capitals and the waterways of the delta.
