Day 3 – 4

Day 3 – Table Mountain & Cape Town Exploration

Make the most of Cape Town’s proximity to major highlights. Take the cable car to Table Mountain (weather permitting) for extraordinary panoramic views. Spend the afternoon exploring at leisure — visit the Company’s Garden, the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap, or the Atlantic shoreline at Sea Point Promenade.

Day 4 – Robben Island

This morning, head to the Nelson Mandela Gateway for the ferry to Robben Island (weather permitting). Tour the historic prison alongside guides who share first-hand knowledge of the years of apartheid. Walk through Mandela’s former cell and take in the stories and landmarks that shaped South Africa’s recent history. Return to the Waterfront in time to enjoy the harbour in the late afternoon light.

Day 7 – 8

Day 7 – Classic Big Five Safari Experience

Begin the day with a dawn game drive, the prime time for wildlife sightings as predators are often still active from the night before. After a warm coffee stop in the bush, return to the lodge for breakfast and time to relax by the pool or unwind in the lounge. In the early afternoon, there is the option to join a guided bush walk to learn more about animal tracks and the surrounding ecosystem. As the sun begins to set, head out on another game drive, pausing in the reserve for sundowners with views across the wilderness. Dinner is served back at the lodge, where you can share stories from the day around the fire.

Day 8 – Final Safari & Departure

Enjoy one final dawn game drive followed by breakfast before saying goodbye to the bush. Transfer to Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, where you will connect to your overnight flight back to London, bringing your South African adventure to an end.
