This 9-day journey combines spiritual discovery and cultural immersion with moments of tranquillity in the Himalayan foothills and the unforgettable experience of visiting Amritsar’s Golden Temple.
Along the way, you’ll explore ancient monuments, sacred shrines, colourful bazaars, and mountain villages, while travelling in comfort with a private driver and staying in some of India’s most luxurious and characterful hotels. Thoughtfully curated, this itinerary showcases the very best of North India’s landmarks, traditions, and natural wonders.

Day 1-2
Explore Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to The Imperial hotel. Located in the heart of the city, The Imperial is a luxurious five-star hotel that offers world-class amenities and exceptional service. Spend the day relaxing and getting acclimatised to the city.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the iconic Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Birla Mandir, and Humayun’s Tomb. Take a rickshaw ride through the colourful bazaars and narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Drive past India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Finally, visit Qutub Minar and the Bahai Temple before returning to The Imperial for an overnight stay.
Day 3 – 4
Journey to Shimla
After an early breakfast, transfer to Delhi train station to board the Shatabdi Express train to Kalka. Upon arrival, board the famous “Toy Train” to Shimla. Upon arrival in Shimla, check-in to the Oberoi Cecil Hotel, a heritage property that exudes old-world charm and luxury. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a half-day heritage walking tour of Shimla. Explore the Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Bandstand, and some of the heritage hotels in Shimla. The walk begins from the Christ Church and extends towards east till the Viceregal Lodge.
Return to the Oberoi Cecil for an overnight stay.
Day 5 – 6
Dharamshala
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Dharamshala. Upon arrival, check-in to Norbu House, a boutique hotel that offers stunning views of the Himalayas.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. Visit the Tsuglagkhang complex, which includes the temple and residence of H.H. Dalai Lama and Namgyal Monastery. Also visit Norbulingka and St. John’s Church.
In the later afternoon, visit the beautiful tribal village of Naddi for stunning views of the snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar. Return to Norbu House for an overnight stay.
Day 7 – 8
Amritsar & The Golden Temple
The next day visit the beautiful tribal village of Naddi for stunning views of the snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar. Return to Norbu House for a dinner on their panoramic terrace & an overnight stay. Depart from Norbu House and travel to Amristar where you will check in to the Taj Swarna.
In the evening, visit the Wagha Attari border to witness the elaborate change-of-the-guard drill. You will then return to the Amritsar for dinner and overnight stay. You will visit the Golden Temple to see the shrine illuminated at night, when it seems to float in the sarovar (water tank) that surrounds it. Then overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Amritsar. Visit the Golden Temple on a private tour, the holiest of all Sikh shrines. In the morning, transfer to Amritsar Airport for a flight back to Delhi, in time to board your flight back to the UK.
