This itinerary pairs India’s headline sights with three of Central India’s finest wildlife reserves.
Begin in Delhi, where ancient traditions meet a thriving modern capital, and explore its contrasts through a chef-led Old Delhi food walk and the grand landmarks of Lutyens’ New Delhi. Continue to Agra to witness the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal and the impressive Mughal architecture of Agra Fort. Then journey south into the heart of India for immersive safari days across Satpura, Pench and Tadoba – three exceptional reserves offering some of the most rewarding wildlife experiences in the subcontinent.
Expect varied habitats, expert naturalist guiding and the thrill of spotting leopard, sloth bear, wild dog and, with luck, tiger. Conclude your adventure on the Arabian Sea in Mumbai, India’s vibrant gateway city, where dawn markets, the ancient Elephanta Caves and elegant colonial architecture reveal yet another side of this extraordinary country.

Day 1 – 2
Day 1 – Arrive in Delhi
Fast-track arrival service and private transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest after your journey or explore the capital at your own pace.

Day 2 – Old Delhi Food Walk & New Delhi Icons
Begin your day with a chef-led street food tour through the winding lanes of Old Delhi, sampling signature snacks from some of the city’s oldest eateries. Visit Jama Masjid and pass the Red Fort before continuing to New Delhi to see Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, and the grand avenues of Lutyens’ Delhi.

Day 3 – 4
Day 3 – Delhi to Agra
Drive to Agra (approx. 4 hours). In the afternoon, visit the Taj Mahal, the enduring symbol of love, followed by a tour of the impressive Agra Fort.

Day 4 – Agra to Bhopal by Train, Drive to Satpura via Bhimbetka
Early morning transfer to the station for your train to Bhopal. Continue by road to Satpura (approx. 4 hours), stopping to visit the UNESCO-listed Bhimbetka rock shelters, home to 30,000-year-old cave paintings. Arrive at your lodge and enjoy dinner surrounded by the wilderness.

Day 5 – 6
Day 5 – Walking Safari & Canoeing in Satpura
Today is a non-motorised exploration day. Take a guided walking safari through the reserve to learn about the tracks, flora, and birdlife that make Satpura so special. After lunch, enjoy canoeing on the Tawa Reservoir, followed by a night safari in the buffer zone.

Day 6 – Satpura on Foot & By 4×4
Enjoy another morning walk in a new zone or the Pachmarhi area, guided by expert naturalists. After lunch, take an optional jeep safari in search of leopard, sloth bear, and Indian giant squirrel.

Day 7 – 8
Day 7 – Satpura to Pench
Drive to Pench National Park (approx. 6 hours). The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Day 8 – Morning & Afternoon Safaris in Pench
Set off at dawn for a jeep safari with picnic breakfast inside the park. After lunch, head out again for an afternoon game drive, when light and activity are ideal for photography.

Day 9 – 10
Day 9 – Wildlife Encounters in Pench
Another day of thrilling wildlife experiences, with morning and afternoon safaris exploring different zones of the park. Look for chital, gaur, wild dogs, and the wide variety of birdlife for which Pench is renowned.

Day 10 – Pench to Tadoba
Drive to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (approx. 5 hours). Check in to your lodge and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 11 – 12
Day 11 – Tiger Safaris in Tadoba
Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safaris in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, home to one of India’s highest densities of tigers. Between drives, relax at your lodge and enjoy the surrounding wilderness.

Day 12 – Wildlife & Wilderness in Tadoba
A final day of safari adventures, exploring Tadoba’s scenic lakes and teak forests. Afternoon at leisure to unwind before your evening meal.

Day 13 – Tadoba to Mumbai
Drive to Nagpur Airport (approx. 2 hours) for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Evening free to relax or explore the local area.

Day 14 – Mumbai by Dawn & Elephanta Caves
Rise early for the “Mumbai by Dawn” experience, exploring the city’s vibrant markets and docks as they come to life. Return for breakfast before boarding a boat to Elephanta Island to see the 6th-century cave temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the Gateway of India, Crawford Market, and the Prince of Wales Museum.

Day 15 – Depart Mumbai
Breakfast at your hotel before your private transfer to Mumbai Airport for your onward flight
